Me, My Wife & Her Employer… The new intimate 3 some

Major companies across the pond have initiated egg-freezing schemes for their female employees in a ploy to keep them employed for longer. Granted, this can be beneficial to both the employee and the company. However, there are factors, which have failed to be considered.

This brings me to my current debate; WHAT ABOUT MEN?  Why are they not given fertility related incentives?

Why is it that the thoughts and opinions of men surrounding fertility are not frequently considered? How do men feel about their partner’s employer somewhat dictating their fertility journey? Where do men see themselves in the equation between employer and partner in regard to fertility options?

The purpose of this piece isn’t to discuss the implications this may have on the female, its purpose is to bring light on the fact that males also have a desire to want a family as well as career, yet this is evidently overlooked.

This raises the question of why are the attitudes and opinions of men so easily disregarded. A commonly held belief is that men don’t want to talk! – It is important to consider how much truth is in this belief? From personal experience the truth is men do want to talk!
